How To Keep Your Laptop Cool While Gaming

When playing video games, you need to be comfortable and expect the equipment to be warm.

But that doesn’t mean you need to take extra precautions when you’re handling your computer.

The best way to keep your computer cool while playing games is to put it in a bag that will keep it at a comfortable temperature no matter what.

This is especially important for gamers who play at home, where you’re likely to be in front of the computer.

Everyone knows that laptops holding computers get hot. But how hot? Pay attention to your laptop to figure out how hot it is.

Laptops can get pretty hot, and if you aren’t careful you can possibly burn yourself. You can usually tell if your laptop is too hot by the temperature on your screen. If your screen slowly gets warm to the touch, then it’s probably too hot.

The internet has been an ever-growing place for gamers. Gamers don’t just play games to pass time, they play them so that they can better themselves along the way.

Gamers are masters at learning and improving their skills. They want to get better and better, and they do so through gaming.

Gaming is a fun and easy way to increase one’s skill level. If you’re an avid gamer, you know that it is important to keep your games running smoothly so that you don’t have any troubles.

Gaming laptops are a popular choice for people who want to play video games on a regular basis, but there are a few things that you need to keep in mind if you want to take your computer gaming to the next level.

First and foremost, it’s important to remember that it is always easier to stop a computer game than it is to start one.

It’s also important to use a system where your computer can cool down naturally when your body is operating at an extremely high level.

If you underestimate the power of your cooling system, you may be more susceptible to overheating.

What is a laptop? What does it do? The answer to these questions goes a long way to explaining the importance of cooling your laptop.

The most common problems with laptops are either overheating, overheating, or both. The temperature of your laptop can be dangerous and it can also be dangerous to your health.

So, therefore, I have explained some important reasons which you should avoid while playing games on the high end. So let’s have a look at it.

Proper Placement

The most common reason behind the laptops overheating is improper placement of a laptop.

A laptop needs to be placed on a flat solid surface especially when it’s under heavy load.

When you place a laptop on a soft such as a bed or your lap you’re more than likely blocking some or all of your intake grills on the underside this means that the laptop can draw in cool air.

On the other hand, when it’s placed on a flat surface, the rubber feet make sure that the laptop is elevated enough for the fans to pool in enough cool air to function properly.

If you’ve located these intake grills then you can still safely place the laptop in your lap if you make sure that you’re not obstructing them if not it can use anything from a book to a box as a makeshift stand.

Cleaning Laptop Regularly

Of course, if you’re placing the laptop to enable optimal airflow or not eventual dust buildup is inevitable there’s simply no getting around this, so the best thing to do is clean it regularly.

I recommend cleaning your laptop at least every three to six months and believe it or not there is a simple way to do it yourself that doesn’t require opening the laptop

All you need is a can of compressed air also known as a gas duster also.

Before you make sure you turn off your laptop and give it ample time to cool down. Once it’s cool all you need to do is hold it on its side so as to expose the intake fan grills on the bottom.

Now bring the Can close to the grill and spray but make sure you’re holding the Can upright because some of the liquid air might escape and this can cause damage.

The hardware move and tilt the laptop around to clean the intake from every angle, do this until you no longer see any dust coming out, and then repeat the process for each grille.

Check Fans

Fan plays a very important role in a laptop especially if I would say in today’s modern gaming laptops or desktops may have multiple internal fans installed in it which may help all the components to stay cool.

Whenever you have the possibility that a laptop fan may stop working, you may observe a spike in temperature. This statement isn’t a joke.

You can find a detailed post on checking and repairing laptop fans by clicking here.

Use Laptop Cooling Pads

Using cooling pads to prevent overheating will keep your fans working properly if you’ve tested them all.

As the laptop’s bottom stays cool, overheating may be decreased.

Using cooling pads can deliver the best results when it comes to battling against overheating.

These pads will help prolong the life of your laptop’s processor and graphics card, even if you’re constantly playing games on it.

Close All Unnecessary Programs

If you are playing games and experiencing disruption, I think the most common reason could be the programs that might be running in the background.

While playing games, I always recommend you to close all unnecessary software, programs, documents, etc. Otherwise, it may give a very poor user experience.

Whenever you use more power, your laptop becomes hotter.

Therefore, you should avoid running programs on the backhand.

Don’t charge the laptop while using it

I have seen that most people play games on their laptops while the laptop is on charging mode.

This may warm the battery and once the battery went warm it may start overheating all over the laptop.

So here is the simple advice to do not use a laptop while is it in charging mode.

Once it charges completely then you can use it as long as you want.

Final Words

The following recommendations may give you an idea of why your laptop overheats while playing games.

Therefore, I would suggest applying all of these recommendations to your laptop so you can see some results.

In case you do not get any results after applying all the steps, then I would suggest that you change your laptop or have it repaired by a good technician.
